Geomatics Please update your bookmark with the new URL (Feb 20, 2006) The Northwest Territories Centre for Geomatics was established primarily to provide Geomatics and geographic information systems (GIS) services to the department and the Government of the NWT. The Centre conducts Geomatics and geographic information systems projects, provides access to classified Geomatics and geographic information data bases, and promotes the application of Geomatics and geographic information systems in all resource sectors. The Centre helps with projects by providing training, resources and advice. There are a number of staff at the Centre with a wide range of skills in Geomatics, GIS and computer systems.
